A good teacher is someone with lots of experience who can assess the abilities of the student and offer classes to suit that person’s individual needs. Communication is key.
There should be a good rapport between student and teacher, and a teacher who is also a singer and/or musician can have lots of helpful info to share. Some students are more motivated than others, but ultimately, it is the job of the teacher to help the student get excited about music and singing.
Laughter is a great tool and can help shy students with their self-esteem. A good teacher will raise the student’s self-confidence and help them be the best singer they can be.
