Are Nutrite Fertilizers Better?

WHY NUTRITE FERTILIZERS ARE BETTER?

Nutrite uses primarily granular forms of phosphorus and potassium which are both necessary for root growth. This improves tolerance to drought and to temperature extremes.

Nutrite uses the most advanced sources of controlled release nitrogen so as to minimize burning of the grass. The use of high quality slow release ingredients also maximizes the synthesis of carbohydrates which are essential for plant growth. Nutrite takes extra care in selecting ingredients that do not readily volatilize or leach into the ground water.

The application rates are carefully calculated and applied to optimize fertilizing the lawns without causing soil degradation.Understanding fertilizer terminology:

In order to protect and educate the consumer, Agriculture Canada has defined the following terms:

1. Organic fertilizers
Only products which are derived from organic matter can be designated as “organic” i.e.: organic matter originating from partially decomposed plant or animal wastes.

2. Natural fertilizers
Fertilizers can be defined as being natural if they originate from mineral deposits and have only been subjected to physical treatments such as drying or crushing.

3. Organic based fertilizers
When a fertilizer contains a minimum of 15% organic matter, it can be identified as being organic based. In this case, the label should state that the fertilizer is organic based and should also specify the percentage of organic matter content.
