The OWMB is a self-contained, user operated unit offering the combined benefits of a personal masseuse and a hydro massage, heat and flotation therapy…without getting wet!
The water filled OWMB is thermostatically controlled and features a series of jets that are positioned at key muscle groups. With the convenient hand held electronic controller, the user can select a full body massage, or adjust the jets to target a specific muscle group. The OWMB is CSA/CUL listed and meets all medical industry standards and safety requirements.
WHAT BENEFITS ARE DERIVED FROM COMBINING WARM HYDROTHERAPY AND MASSAGE?
For hydrotherapy to be the most beneficial, it should be used in conjunction with a body massage. Its therapeutic effects are:
- Relaxation and loosening of tight muscles
- Soothing of aches and pains
- Reduction of stress and tension
- Stimulation of circulation
WHY DOES A REGULAR MASSAGE TAKE AN HOUR, WHILE AN OWMB SESSION TAKES ONLY A FEW MINUTES?
Because the OWMB uses massage, flotation, and heat at the same time, your body will receive an OWMB massage easier, and with longer lasting effects.
HOW LONG CAN I LIE ON THE OWMB?
A usual session usually last 10 to 20 minutes. In some instances a massage of up to a hour may be warranted. The length of time depends on the level of intensity and the individual user. A strong massage (level 9) should not go over 40 minutes as bruising may occur. A soft gentle massage (level 3) could go on for hours.
CAN I LIE ON MY BACK, SIDE AND STOMACH?
Yes, the Ocean Wave Massage Bed is safe to lie on in any position.
CAN I ALSO GET A FOOT MASSAGE?
Yes, simply bend at the knees and place your feet on the lower jets.
HOW MANY SESSIONS SHOULD I HAVE IN A MONTH?
To receive the continued life-style-enhancing benefits, an OWMB massage session should be done at least once a week.
